I really wanted to buy a stream deck when I started working from home for macros and because they looked cool, but I couldn’t stomach the price. I eventually came across a project that was a 3D Printed “Stream Cheap” this guy named Dave was using for similar reasons.

I decided my collegue and I should build these so we can use them to spam goose honks and easily mute our mics on zoom. One of our coworkers was nice enough to 3D print the “Stream Cheap” parts and handed them off to us.
After that, we followed Dave’s blog post and pretty much mirrored what he did.
It was definitely good practice for soldering and working with 3D printed materials. In the end, we had a working mini keyboard and set the keys up to do extremely important things.
