What started as a joke at work, became several jokes. My colleague and I both played the flute growing up urged on by our parents and eventually gave it up. However, upon learning this about one another we started a group on our company’s slack called the FluteBoys and used it ever so often to confuse and delight people.
We are on the same internal team, and our company asked us to test a new product (or we volunteered, I forget). To avoid confusion with the department we reside in, we used the fake company name “The FluteBoys”. We made a quick logo inspired by Saturday morning cartoons, Scooby Doo adventures and Archie comics and used that for the remainder of our testing.
Fast forward several months, mayhbe even a year and we got asked to create some fun guerilla marketing for the company, so we spent all of 2 hours making a series or AI generated videos, then we cut them together in premiere and sent em to our boss.
Since we also have personal projects tied into our main goals, we put building a website on our goals. We manage ours anyways and thought it would be good to learn an extra skill. When deciding on what we wanted to call it we decided to just make a fake FluteBoys site. So we purchased fluteboys.com and worked on building a site to unveil at a later date at our company hangouts.
We tried to make it as ridiculous as possible, and you can judge for yourself what you think. It’s now live on the webs. FLUTE BOYS WEBSITE
