I built two apps, SillyGooses™ & SillyPages™, but I had nowhere to house them on the internet for friends and family to try out. I had quietfarts.com but that was going to be “something else” (this) so I didn’t want to house them here. I did get a free domain when I signed up for hosting the fluteboys website so I looked at available names and what do you know… SillyHole.com was available.
I started down the path of making an app hosting website, with previews of the apps and some fancy stock images of people using them. Then I had to make it work on mobile (even though the apps don’t download to mobile… what a pain).
After I finished that up, I had to add the actual apps with sha-256 and md5 hashes to make sure people arent downloading viruses. Well they still might have viruses but this is to check and make sure they haven’t been altered in transport.
Finally I added a “rickroll” to the main page. Everyone loves getting “rickroll’d”.
